A Note From Tim

I have personally had a heavy heart the past few months about mine and Sara's adventure in starting a family. Many of you know that we have to have in vetro due to complications with myself. I know that God made me this way for a reason and his master plan for my life and Sara's is bigger than we can even fathom. Sara and I started on the journey to start a family over a year ago and found through various procedures and even surgery that to have a child would have to be through in vetro fertilization. We were both sceptical about the whole process but believed that if we could even have the opportunity to have a child by both Sara and I would be a blessing. Sara and I have grown so much in our faith and marriage over the past 4 years and this chapter in our lives has been both tough and exciting in our hearts. We are very blessed to have friends and family who care for us, encourage us and pray for us.
I'm writing this blog out as a prayer request. I know nothing is stronger than the words of God and yes he already knows our prayers but the more spoken to him the better. Please pray that God will continue to bless mine and Sara's marriage and for God to provide for us to start our family. I thank each of you and am blessed to call you a friend, thank you for reading along and following our blog. Sara and I are extremely grateful for each of you and everything you are doing and have done to richly bless our lives.

God makes a way when we cant see one

Once again our great big God has exceeded our expectations!! Tim and I have been trying to sell our house with out any luck for the past year and a half. It was looking like we were going to be stuck in this house for awhile because the value has gone down so much that we didn’t have the option to sell and we couldn’t get another loan to purchase a new home.

God was just having us wait patiently while he was preparing our new home for us. Now we are blessed to have the option to buy a new house and rent out our old home till the market turns and we can sell it for what we owe. After a month of looking and putting in offers that led to nothing, we are happy to share that WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!!! We couldn’t be happier with the new home and the amazing new neighborhood we will be living in!

I can’t wait to move in and call it home! I’m also very grateful God will have us in the new home for the holidays! Praise God for the great home and a roof we have had over our head for the past three years. We are so blessed to be able to move to a new home in a time were so many people have had their home taken away from them due to the flooding. We truly realize how fortunate and blessed we are and we can’t wait to raise our family in our new home!

Selling it up :)

God Blew our Expectations through the Roof

I am so glad God is so much more capable than the limitations I set on him!! After a week of rain I was very nervous about having our yard sale last Saturday. I want to praise God for the beautiful weather he provided for our yard sale (Id like to think God stopped the rain just for us that day!)
The yard sale was a HUGE success! Not only did our amazing friends and family all pitch in and donate great things for our yard sale, but God brought the traffic in for all those items to be bought up! We had fun talking with the people and letting them know our purpose for having the yard sale. I got a kick out of watching my Mom work her sales magic as she followed behind people watching what they picked up and telling them “oh that is totally your style, you need that.” We even met a couple of parents of friends Tim and I went to high school with.
When it was all over I had tears of joy. I was overwhelmed with emotion because I felt so loved and supported by everyone. Tim and I are so grateful to have friends who want to be involved with our journey to have a child. We were so touched by the generosity of everyone who wanted to give to our yard sale and kept thanking God for the great friendships he has given us. I also want to give a HUGE thank you to my parents who had to park outside for the rainiest week ever because we took over their garage with all our yard sale stuff. Thanks for your support and help and thanks for giving up your weekend so we could have our yard sale at your house.
God is soooooooooo GOOD!

Do not become weary......

Our sermon this past Sunday was very uplifting to me, so I thought I’d share a lil about what was preached. The series we are on is called “Hanging on When You Feel like Letting Go” Dr. Cooper’s sermon was on Galatians 6:7-9 and focused on “Let us not become weary …. we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
Dr. Cooper’s message taught me to have the mentality of a farmer. They plant a seed in the ground and know they have to wait patiently till another season for those seeds to produce a harvest. It would be absurd to plant a seed one day and then jump out of bed the next day expecting to see a crop. I get so frustrated with how this world has wired us to be soooooo IMPATIENT! What ever gave our generation the idea that we can have every thing our parents have right now that they’ve worked thirty years to get?? We plant our seed and we expect to have a crop the next day. Then we get angry with God if we can’t have what we want when we want it. Or we take matters into our own hands and rush the process to get what we want not realizing we are missing out on God’s full plan and blessings that would have been a million times better than the way our plan turned out.
Looking back at my life, I am so grateful for the seasons of prayer and patiently waiting and growing and learning and maturing. Glancing back, I see God’s plan now and why I didn’t get what I prayed for right then and there. With out those seasons of waiting I could not have fully reaped the harvest God had for me (which in the moment seemed like an antagonizing period of time with out getting an answer from God).
I am assured by God’s word that tells us we WILL reap a harvest if we do NOT give up. I am grateful that when satan tells us we can not get pregnant, God makes a way for us to get preggers! It might take longer than I had planned, but I’m so excited to reap the harvest in the proper season!! I see our situation as a testimony to give God all the glory. Thanks to all our family and friends for all your love and support! I pray over all of you reading this that you will be planting good seeds, that you will not become weary, and that you will reap your harvest!!

More beach pictures

Our new symrna beach trip over 4th of July

Excited to see God work!

Tim and I are excited to include everyone in the journey ahead of us! We have tried unsuccessfully for a year to have a baby and decided to see a doctor to make sure everything was ok. I mean my mom never sat me down and gave me the birds and the bees talk, so how was I to know if we were doing it right? It's funny that you never think getting pregnant would be a challenge until you actually try to get pregnant because most of our marriage we were trying to prevent from getting preggers.
After several visits to the doctors and going through many frustrating test we got some answers to why it was so difficult for me to get pregnant. Chromosome seven is the gene that forms the reproductive tubes at birth and lil Timmy was born with out that chromosome.

Tim and I have prayed over our next step to take and we are very confident in our decision to have in vitro. We are excited to share our story with everyone and tell how God is providing us with opportunities to get the money to have in vitro. I cant wait to share praises of how God is working in our lives.............. and I have one already!! I just interviewed for a job last week and I got the position!! I will now be a Secretary VI in the construction department for Cobb County Schools, which means more pay. We plan to take the extra money from my check and put it in our baby fund. God is good, ALWAYS!
