Its Been Too Long!

Wow how time flew by! So much has happened since our last update, where to start?? Well, how bout by thanking our amazing friends, family, church family, neighbors and co-workers for the memorable showers they had for Hudson! We were truly shown how much we are cared for and loved by everyone, Hudson is all set and we were blessed beyond we could imagine by every one's generosity..... seriously we got everything we needed!!
Two of the showers Tim came to because they were couples showers. He's not the typical guy, Tim absolutely LOVED being apart of the shower experience. We would come home from each shower, wash all the cute outfits Hudson got, hang them up and go through all his gifts. Then Tim would set up all the big items for us. The pack and play and baby swing have been set up in our living room for the past month. I've scrubbed the house clean every weekend and organized every drawer and closet. Im so over prepared that now the wait is killing me! I have so many cute pictures from our four showers, I will go through them and post them on the next update along with a picture of my 39 week belly!
I've been going to the doctors every week since my 35th week of pregnancy and I was getting the feeling that Hudson would never come. Every time I went there would be no changes or no signs that he was making his way. My doctors appointment this week gave me some hopeful news that the end is near! I was 70% thinned out and 1/2 centimeter dilated. The doctor said she thought he'd definitely be here with in the week. Our bags our packed and we are just waiting now. I keep thinking I'm going to feel differently one of these mornings when I get up and just know that he's on the way, but I still dont feel any changes. Tim and I have been going on long walks, walking on bumpy trails and walking up hills to speed things along.
I've gotten such great advice (and some scary stories) from friends who recently gave birth. I've got my Tuck pads in my suite case and I'm trying the Fish Oil pills too ;) I would love to give birth naturally, but I ain't no fool if I have a super long labor I might be screaming for an epidural.
I cant wait to update the blog with pictures of Hudson when he gets here!!

  1. You are a brave woman to want to give birth naturally. I tried it to but after 10 hrs of labor and nothing progressing I got an epidural and it was glorious of course it was another 12 hrs before Finn decides to come out. Haha! Anyway, I'm excited for you - being a mom to a son is so awesome! Hudson is so blessed to have you!
